| EXPERIMENTAL PROJECT ONLY: NOT FOR NAVIGATIONAL OR OPERATIONAL PURPOSES |
The Boater Information System is an experimental project funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration through a grant from Washington Sea Grant Program to test the exploration of combining weather and oceanographic data to produce an experimental visualization of the environmental forcing parameters impacting Puget Sound waterways. All data, both observational and predictive, included herein could reasonably be anticipated to be useful to mariners but, because of their inherent experimental nature, carries neither warranty nor certification of correctness; nor do these data/products purport to measure/predict impacts beyond the capabilities of existing and validated observational or predictive systems of federal, state, tribal, or local entities. The Applied Physics Laboratory, University of Washington, in providing these purely experimental products, assumes no liability for any damages arising from these predictions but rather provides them to indicate the value of future validated and verified data/products arising from this research.
