Sailors / kayakers / windsurfers completed 63% of the surveys even though they make up 29% of our estimated Puget Sound boaters. We are inclined to believe that the core customers for BIS are sailors and kayakers because adverse weather affects them most. Nevertheless, experienced power boaters assure us that weather and oceanographic information is critical for trip planning. |
